Today we will give you an overview of the steps to a seamless iPhone trade-in. You will back up your data, transfer your data to your new iPhone, and prepare your current iPhone to send in. Let’s start by backing up your data with iCloud!
- Open Settings, tap your name,
- Choose iCloud and tap iCloud Backup,
- then tap Back Up Now.
While you are backing up, turn on and activate your new iPhone. If you purchased carrier-connected, answer the questions on screen, and if you purchased SIM free, carefully move your SIM card to your new iPhone. Next, move over your data as well. Make sure your iCloud backup has completed. Then, place both iPhones near each other and follow the guide on screen to transfer your photos, contacts, apps, and everything else.
Once you verify all your data has transferred, Let’s prepare your device to send in turning off “Find My” iPhone.
- go to Settings tap your name,
- tap Find My
- switch off Find My iPhone.
If you need to Erase all your content and settings, here’s come the way!
- Open Settings, tap General,
- scroll down to Transfer or Reset iPhone,
- then Erase All Content and Settings.
If you paid in full, your credit will be applied to your original payment method. If you paid monthly, your credit will already be applied to your bill. And thatʼs it!
