Power Your Apple TV 4K via USB!

by Dewi Safitri

I think today’s article is going to be a pretty short one. But still, I wanted to share with you guys, what I received in the mail a few weeks ago. It’s from a company that honestly I’ve never heard of until they reached out to me and asked if I wanted to check it out. Normally I get a lot of typical requests, and I don’t always think they’re worth it. But this one piqued my interest, because of what it can do! It’s something that I’ve never seen before, in terms of your Apple TV and the ability to not have to plug it into the wall for it to work. This awesome product is a USB Power Cable from Mission. This little guy can draw an elf power from your TV through the little box there and then it Powers up your Apple TV with no problem.

This is going to be perfect for those who want to reduce Court clutter while mounting their TVs on the wall. In my house, I have my TV plugged into the wall above the fireplace. There are only two available plugs there. It’s a tight space so putting a surge protector back there to expand those plugs, was a little bit difficult. It took a lot of trial and error with different types of surge protectors to finally found one that fit in so that I could have my Apple TV, soundbar, and TV plugged in the same location. If I had known this product existed in the first place, I wouldn’t have had to go through all that trouble. Because basically, I would just plug this into my Apple TV, and then into the TV itself. Later on, it would supply all the power I needed.

You might wonder how this works, right? the USB Power Cable included power boost circuitry stores accept power from the USB port, and then release it to the Apple TV when it demands more power than the USB port consorts. Even though the product itself sounds complicated on the inside at least, it’s pretty simple on the outside. Now let’s take a look at the below picture! You’ll find a break, which is where all the power is stored. and then you have a little plug there which plugs into the back of your Apple TV.

The other one is what plugs into the USB port on your TV. The back side of the brick has a he Civ so that once you get everything set up, you can go ahead and stick it to the back of your TV. It’s out of sight and out of mind. It’s going to stick perfectly to the back of your TV. I also recommend finding a Mount if you decide to go this route, for your Apple TVs so that everything is out of the way and you no longer see, the Apple TV or this trip. The USB power cable is compatible with all Apple TV generations. As far as TVs go I couldn’t find a list or if you know the requirements of what the USB port needs to Supply Power.

I’ve tested it with about make TVs at my house at the studio and every single one of them worked fine so I imagine if your TV is relatively new and has a USB port it should be able to power it no problem. so in my mind, it makes sense to pick one of these up if you are set up you know convoluted and you don’t want a lot of cords or anything kind of show. You’re trying to limit the Clutter as much as possible or if it was my scenario where you only had two outlets available and you need to plug in the three things while then you can add your Apple TV be powered by air USB for have used it for the last few weeks it works perfectly fine. But I’d love to know your thoughts on this product is there something else out there that might be cheaper or better that I may be missed as well let me know in those comments down below.
