The fifth beta of ios 16 has been sent out to developers today, and one of the biggest welcome additions is the reintroduction of the battery percentage indicator. Heading to “Setting”, and under the battery you’ll see the battery percentage toggle. Battery percent has not been available on iPhones that have a notch since 4 years ago, because of space constraints. So finally this change has come for many of us, iPhone users who have been clamoring for this. Previously, checking for the exact battery percentage has to be done by swiping in the control center or using the battery widget. Battery level is available on iPhone 12 and 13 models, except for the 5.4-inch iPhone 12 and iPhone 13.

It is also available on the iPhone 10 in tennis, but not the 11 or the 10 of are. there are also a few other changes such as a new find my sound, when using the play sound options. which is now a bit louder and more distinct from the previous sound. the same sound is also being used when pinging your iPhone via the Apple watch control center. the full screen that music player on your lock screen now guesses this little live mini visualizer. Apple has also slightly tweaked where Dolby atmos and lossless indicators are to split. The information is now right next to the genre, rather than below the play and Shuffle buttons. the prospective Zoom feature has been removed for lock screen wallpapers. The toggle to disable it has also been removed.

Finally, when you take a screenshot, edit, and then tap on ‘done”, there is a new option to copy and delete the screenshot rather than just delete it entirely. these are just some of the changes that are in beta 5. Of course, the biggest news is that the battery percentage indicator is now officially back. hopefully satisfying everyone out there who has been clamoring for this feature to come back.
