Astropad updated its Astropad Studio application today , adding the Apple Pencil hovering function to the new iPad Pro equipped with the M2 chip.
IT Home learned that Astropad Studio is an application that turns the iPad into a drawing board for Mac and Windows devices. Users can use hover gestures in a variety of macOS software on the iPad.
Astropad says that Wacom drawing tablets already offer similar functionality, and that iPad users have been craving Apple Pencil hovering over the past few years.
This update also adds 3D gestures for panning, zooming, and rotating the 3D canvas, and introduces new default shortcut keys. The update also introduces new Magic Gestures, which combine tap, touch, and the Apple Pencil to trigger actions.
Astropad Studio is a subscription, currently 30% off, with an annual fee of $70.
