Today I’m going to be giving you guys a quick and easy tutorial on how to change the batteries out on your Apple Air Tag. To my knowledge this product will only work with one kind of battery, and that’s a CR2032 or some people just call it a watch battery. You can pick these batteries up in different places and you can pretty much find them at any home depot.
They’re very common as far as these kinds of batteries are concerned. The first thing you’re going to want to do, is make sure that the air tag is completely free and out of any case you’ve got it in.Then you’re going to want to make sure that the Apple logo on the silver side is facing you and in the correct orientation. Then with both fingers you’re just going to slide the plate counterclockwise and then the plate will come off.
It shouldn’t require any real strength at all. The first thing that you’ll notice is the battery inside, with the plus symbol facing you. Remove that old battery and then insert the new one. Make sure that the plus symbol is still facing you, then you’re gonna put the plate back on. Turn it clockwise, and then you should hear a little chime confirming that the Air Tag has battery power. It should sound like this and that’s it! that’s how you change the battery on your Apple Air Tags!
